ZO ČSOP Koniklec is a Czech non-profit and non-governmental organization belonging to ČSOP (Czech Union of Nature Protectors). It aims to improve the relations of citizens to environment with a view to protection of natural and cultural heritage in Prague, the capital of Czech Republic.
Main activities are the following:
- ecological training (creation and realization of ecological programmes and production of programme aids)
- ecological centre and activities for public (ecological consulting, the Day of the Earth, competitions for children with the environmental themes, administration (authorities) of ecological centre field base...)
- production and (current) maintenance of nature trails in Prague and the region of Central Bohemia
- practical protection of nature (protection of horse-chestnuts against noxious animals, cleaning and arrangement of parks, management of protected territories)
